Plastics Are Done!!!
Hi all! I had my plastics on Monday 12/11 at 7 a.m. I had red carpet treatment, things move quickly and I was hardly nervous. Jill (girl i am dating) took loads of pix while the surgeon marked me up. Next thing I knew I was in recovery! They removed 13 pounds of skin!!
Everything has kinda ended up as I expected - holy abdominal pain, batman...I had catheter the first night so I could sleep well. Tuesday, went in and got to see the preliminary product!! They removed bandages and I almost cried. I am not kidding - I have the cutest boobs ever (to me, anyhow). a nice belly button and a flat tummy! The boobs ended up a average C - smaller than he had thought they would end up but they look great! My mom was there and said, "jennifer, I don't recall you ever having such a perky chest...well, maybe when you were 10." And went on to say she was jealous of them :) They redressed the wounds, removed the breast drains and got me all tidied up.
The last two days have consisted drugs and sleep... Oxycodone every 4 hours, an antibiotic every 6 hours along with a homeopathic combo the surgeon gave me for swelling and bruising (which, after 1 day, I had a small 2" segment of bruising on my left hip)...and a valium at night to assure good sleep! It's day 3 today, and I got up to pee all alone 4 times, gave myself a little sponge-bath and my pal Vickie who has been taking care of me at her house washed my hair for me! It does seem as long as I stay on top of the drugs, I really have no pain except for getting up and down, and a little stinging at one of the drain sites.
I have a load of pix which I'm happy to share with other WLS folks considering a LBL or breast lift. Just comment here with you email address (I'll delete it once I get it) and I'll send you a few. For now though, I thought a before & after tummy shot wouldn't offend anyone...so how'bout them apples??

WOW! You look great. I imagine by summer you will out shopping for some midriff baring tops.
I am interested in plastics but they are far, far from in my immediate future. I may come asking you questions when my time does come.
Enjoy your new body.

Jenn - Your surgeon DOES have a gift. Your "after" shot is amazing. I definitely think I might have to at least get a tummy tuck!! I've been scared about the recovery, though...so I'm anxious to hear how your recovery goes and how soon you are up and around and back to work, etc.. I would love to see more pictures. Hi Jenn,
You look amazing in the post op shots. I am out 2 yrs since surgery and have the skin hanging too. I can never afford to have any surgery like this, but I am so happy for you. It must feel so great to look like this now even considering all the pain involved.
I would love to see more pics if you do not mind sharing. The best of luck to you on this journey. My email faithful2749@yahoo.com Thanks so much.

I AM DYING!!!!! I don't know if I am going to make it past this post! HA!
Jenn, you look amazing in that picture. Your before pic looks very much like my tummy so I am really hopeful that Dr. E can make me look good too. This is really the first time I have felt excited about my upcoming lower body lift. Until seeing your pics I have been thinking of it more as a neccesary evil; I am doing it sooner than I had planned because I have hernias that must be addressed ASAP. Otherwise I would have waited longer and taken some time to get used to just being an average size. Anyway, Thanks so much for sharing your experience!
Laura
I would love to see the rest of your photos. My email is Laura@lauras.net.
Hi Jenn!
I, too, am considering Dr. Egrari and would love your pre/post pics.
My pics of my WLS journey are at www.picturetrail.com/kilaani - I'm down around 238lbs so far, with about40 to go.

Hi Jenn,
I just discovered your site. I have 30 pounds till goal - would be at goal but then had a baby 3 years ago, and I am just now working on that weight gain. Anyway, I will really need some loose skin taken care of. Did your insurance cover any of this? I thought I read somewhere that if you lose 100 pounds, that insurance will cover expenses for certain plastics. Would you mind telling me how much you ended up having to fork over? I would really love to start saving and put plastics on my wish list for the next year. (just the belly, not the boobs, at least not right away, anyway!) :)

Hi Jenn,
I too, am going to dr E for TT and breast reconstruction (H to a C). I would love to see some more shots if possible. I am in that mid stage of excitement and fright (surgery date is 2/4/07). I just can't get over the change in your stomach! I didn't think such results were possible. Also, as I've been reading around, it seems that alot of drs are still using external stitches. From my understanding the stitches are all inside and then he basically glues the rest together? How intense has your recovery been? They have made it seem that you can lift nothing for 4 months! and no more than walking. I have to call back to see if they have nutritional assistance so I don't GAIN wait during my recovery time. Thanks, and I hope to here from you. Laura artiemouse@hotmail.com
I found your blog and love it. I am looking forward to the day that my body will look as great as yours. Please send the pics if still available. If not, congrats! You look awesome and it is good to know that there are success stories with the band. All I found so far are horror stories. email: ajohnson1303@yahoo.com
